Getting There
By Car to Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal
Arriving from Germany, you reach Oberstdorf and the Kleinwalsertal quickly and easily:
- Take the A7 southbound to the Allgäu interchange.
- Continue on the A980 towards Oberstdorf.
- At the end of the A980, follow the B19 directly to Oberstdorf.
- Heading into the Kleinwalsertal? In Oberstdorf, simply stay on the main road towards Riezlern – Hirschegg – Mittelberg.
Good to know:
Your journey is toll-free and follows well-developed motorways and federal roads — no mountain passes, no additional traffic risk.
By train
Travelling by train is comfortable and straightforward:
- Your destination station is Oberstdorf – directly accessible from Munich, Augsburg, Ulm, Stuttgart and many other cities (often with just one transfer).
- From Oberstdorf station, continue by Walserbus or taxi and reach the Kleinwalsertal within just a few minutes.
With Flixbus
From 18 December 2025, Kleinwalsertal and Oberstdorf will be directly accessible via a FlixBus long-distance bus connection:
- With Flixbus from Munich, Memmingen Airport, Memmingen ZOB, Kempten, and Oberstdorf to Kleinwalsertal without changing buses. The stops are located in the immediate vicinity of mountain railways and cross-country ski trails.
- Winter sports equipment can be easily booked as special luggage.
